"Anacortes on Beautiful Fidalgo Island...
the Heart of the Northwest Adventure"
As our slogan suggests, Anacortes offers incomparable opportunities
for recreation, thanks to its phenomenal natural setting
by Puget Sound. Whether you like to sail, powerboat, kayak,
bike, (all of which you can charter or rent) hike, or golf,
you can do it all right here. If you prefer more leisurely
activities such as shopping, we have everything from antiques
to zithers, (along with cool clothes, great galleries, handcrafted
items...) As you might expect from a place where people want
to be, there is a tremendous array of special places to dine,
as well as lodging, including B & B's, inns, hotels,
motels, and R.V. parks. |

Mount Vernon, the Heart of Skagit Valley
on Northwest Washington's Puget Sound, is halfway between Seattle
and Vancouver, B.C.
Our Website provides information about the area, local business
and shopping, and the Chamber of Commerce, itself. It also
contains links to City Government, Tulip Festival and other
agencies and organizations.
Historic Oldtown and its Farmers Market is a delightful
reminder of this pioneer port on the Skagit River. While
Agriculture is still important, Mount Vernon has grown into
a bustling center for all types of commerce, particularly
the high technology industry. It is also the gateway to both
the North Cascades and the San Juan Islands and has become
a basecamp to some of the most exciting outdoor activities
and adventures in the Pacific Northwest. Mount Vernon is
truly . . . “The Best Small City in America.” |
